Although many people visiting Thailand only go through Krabi on their way to one of the better known locations, you may be surprised to realize that there are many interesting things to do in Krabi. You can join a group and go elephant trekking. Other nature related activities include the enjoyment of being in the water with dozens of brightly colored fish accepting bread crumbs from your fingers. Take a side trek to the Tiger Cave Temple, a Buddhist community with an awesome view (and a large Buddha statue) at the top of a 600 meter hill. Only 1237 steps if you can handle the climb.

The artisan starts with a gold or silver object, covers it with delicate engravings and fills the engravings with metal inlays. Gemstones such as rubies and rubies are readily available here. Krabi is also well known for producing extensive lines of ready to wear clothing and economical prices. Considering the age of the city, car parking/hire in Krabi is pretty much what one would expect. Many are associated with particular resorts, but in addition you can take advantage of spectacular cuisine--beautiful cook and seasoned and presented with a flourish by great serving staff.
